How do tie breakers work for pool play?

In the event two teams are tied in points at the end of pool play, the teams to advance will be determined in the order as follows: 

1. Winner in head-to-head competition 

2. Best goal differential in overall competition (goals scored by team minus goals allowed by team with maximum of four goal differential limit)  

3. Most goals scored (maximum credit of four goals per game) 

4. Least goals allowed (maximum of four) 

5. Most total wins 

6. Most shutouts 

7. If a tie still exists after steps 1 through 6 above, then both teams will kick from the penalty mark as per FIFA rules with the site and time determined by the Tournament Director

How do tie breakers work for bracket play?

In the event two teams are tied at the end of regulation time in a semi-final or championship game, the game will continue as follows:

1. Two overtime periods played

• For ages U11 through U15 each overtime period will be 5 minutes

• For ages  U16 through U19 each overtime period will be 10 minutes

2. If the games are still tied at the conclusion of overtime play, then FIFA kicks shall be taken from the penalty mark
